The to go place in Yomitan The place is very peaceful and relaxing. It is like 2 miles walk to roam around the area. The place is where most resident is going to if they would like to run or for biking. You can do a lot of things in Cape Zanpa. Either you choose to exercise around the area through running, walking or cycling. You can also just relax and check the whole place. Cape Zanpa has its own Lighthouse where you can go up for an amount of less then 300yen (I think it's like 200yen). They also have ice cream truck around the area (Blue Seal Ice Cream the known ice cream in Okinawa) The Cape Zanpa is also surrounded with gift shops and restaurants. The parking lot is spacious enough to cater lots of people. You must go!

Great place for a nice view! Only 300 yen to climb the stairs inside the lighthouse. They do not accept card but will take both USD and yen. We explored a little outside of the fence to get a closer look at the edge of the rocks and it was very beautiful but do not let your kiddos do that with you. Those cliffs are very sharp. They have goats and bunnies and pigs to feed through the fence, too! Cute place, spent about 2 or so hours there and they had an icecream stand with floats, drinks, burgers, and corn dogs. Cash only (USD or yen) but delicious!!

We were looking for the Zakimi-jo ruins but GPS told us to go here (my mistake). I'm so glad we visited. The lighthouse is the only structure around here. We walked on the rugged rocks to get a closer look at the mesmerizing waves lapping at rocks. It's a nice experience. Be careful walking on the sharp rocks. If you fall, it is going to hurt, badly. The wind was strong when we visited. It is advisable to wear a wind jacket.

Cape zampa park is situated near the cape zampa lighthouse. This park has one of the largest shisa statue on the okinawa island. This park has a great food truck where you can enjoy the shaved ice and nice ice-cream on the hot day. The lighthouse situation near the park is 30 m tall and you have to pay 300 yen for the entry. The view from the lighthouse is breathtaking and you can enjoy the view of nearby area from there

Visited during a windy & rough sea day. While cold the views of the waters hitting the cliff was a sight to behold. Quite scary yet mesmerizing. The power of nature. Definitely scary when walking by the cliff as the waves hit high & you'll be hit by the sea spray. A must visit cape for sure. Plenty of parking. A bit of a walk from the lighthouse to the other end of the cape but not difficult.

Very scenic and peaceful. Going up in the light house for 300y is awesome. 99 steep steps. Great view from the top. Then you can walk around a big loop trail and see more historical areas. It's probably a mile or so. Took 20nminutes. They cut the grass so it smelled like a fresh summer day. Will be going back to enjoy that area of the island.
