is a mosque located in the city of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. It is third largest mosque in Central Asia. The 40-meter (131-foot) height symbolizes the age of the Prophet Muhammad of when he received the revelations, and the height of the minarets are 63 meters (207 foot), The mosque is located at the left riverbank in the city of Astana, construction first started in March 2005. The mosque was a gift in accordance with the agreement of the Kazakhstan President, Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa. It has a capacity of 5,000 worshippers inside the mosque, including 2,000 for worshippers outside the mosque. The structure is made of glass, concrete, granite and alucobond measures.

The place is amazing. You should remove your shoes before entering and leave the at the shoe place. It’s free and safe. The place is huge and it has a museum inside. THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO JAVE A PHOTOSHOOT, make sure you’re quiet and respectful specially if they are in praying time. It’s very tourist friends and for ladies they let you borrow covers for your hair if you don’t have one but YOU MUST cover your hair and have covered shoulders and legs. For men you must cover your shoulder and long pants. No sports hats. They have a tower where you can view the city but when I went it was closed. They also have a kids zone with those jumpy things. They have stores inside. They sell beautiful things very expensive.

Definitely one of the more beautiful mosques I’ve seen in this Eurasia region. It is photogenic and picturesque during the day time but also at night. Inside is peaceful and calming as most places of worship are. This mosque’s story gets even more interesting once you research where it’s funding came from — I won’t mention it here as it may offend others but do look into it as that piece of info makes this place even more interesting than it already is. :)

A Beautiful mosque MashAllah. It's also humbling to see that the mosque actually gets used by brother's during Salah times. Been to many mosques in my lifetime, only too see that there made into show pieces with our Ummah no where to be seen. Allah SWT bless this land and it's people and keeps bringing our brothers and sisters to house of Allah. Majestic place, highly recommended to come visit and pray.

Очень красивая мечеть, в которой можно обрести душевное спокойствие. Будучи туристом в Нур-Султане, мне посчастливилось выкроить время и попасть внутрь мечети. Женская половина расположена с левой стороны от главного входа, с возможностью облачения в мусульманскую тунику. Мне понравился объёмный и не загруженный, расписной свод мечети. Много света и воздуха. Уважительное отношение ко всем посетителям, в том числе и женщинам с детьми. Есть возможность комфортного уединения для личной молитвы. Небольшой сквер рядом с мечетью - хорошее место для прогулок. Летом действует фонтан перед входом. Осталось очень светлое ощущение и воспоминание от посещения мечети. Рекомендую для обязательного визита.

Beautiful and one of the first modern mosque in the capital. You should come to Friday prayer early, before calling (azan), to feel comfortable. Especially at the cold days !
