This cafe style restaurant is perfect for a quick bite to eat. The burgers are tasty, and they also offer excellent Indian food. I tried their Tomato Shorba soup, as well as Chicken Tikka Masala, both were very tasty, as was the naan to go with it. They do not have table service which means you have to order up at the counter, whilst others complained about this here, I saw this as a point of difference in Astana, where table service is always offered, but is often very slow. At least ordering yourself at rhe cashier allows you to set the pace. The reason I did not give 5 stars is that there is no English Menu offered, not a problem for me as I speak Russian as well, but would rule it out for many expats... Koktem, with your location in the center of Astana, close to many hotels, as well as the large expat community, this is a mistake, I strongly suggest offering an English...
Read morePerfect spot for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike in the center of Astana. Thanks to their self-ordering system, there is no service fee, and better yet, they offer free filtered water to all. So while the prices are not the cheapest, they actually come to a very reasonable sum for the quality at the end.
Their Indian food is certainly not bad, though it could have been made spicier. Sushis and pizzas are on point as well. The desserts are to die for, and so are most of their drinks. While you do order yourself, you will be served directly to your table and people are always friendly and rather efficient.
I especially recommend veg kofta curry and no frills Napoleon cake. These are the best bang for your buck. Their naan used to be better so I am not so sure about that...
Read moreNice food. Your order at the counter, so it's more canteen style. Your meals may all arrive at different times, they seem to bring each out when ready. The food is good though. The burgers are good & the burger meal deal is reasonably priced. Overall the food is good value & tasty. Portion sizes on some items can be small, so bear that in mind. The curry's are really good, served in a bowl, split, rice one side, gravy & meat on the other. The naan breads are great value & good too. They have a kids play area inside if you have young kids. So it can get a bit noisy of yoire near there. Also contains a flower shop. If you're looking for good, tasty reasonably priced food, then really...
