I visited restaurant "Saksaul" with my family last weekend. I have to say thanks you to this restaurant and their staff, because we had amazing time with fantastic traditional food and drinks. First of all, I book table over the phone and made a request for table in a quiet and silent location. Then we had a situation with a very fast cab and we arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes early. However, our table was ready and staff was really friendly with us. We had a dinner with my parents, my wife and with my little son. The waiter took the order for my little son and then asked about our drinks. It was absolutely perfect, because I think you are know what it's going in restaurants with little children. Ok, about cuisine: We loved Qazaqstan-style mains, which were delicious and were a great size. The drinks were very interesting and plentiful. Tea, compote, the national milk-drink "Irun" - all of them I want to drink every day. I want to recommend this place and say thank you for the wonderful time, which I spend in a wonderful atmosphere and a very beautiful traditional qazaqstan interior. I recommend to try it! Ps The next day I found out that I had left the charger for my phone in the restaurant. The receptionist interviewed all the staff and they found my charger! I'm going to pick it up tomorrow, I think I'll have one or...

He quickly gave us lots of recommendations and came up with a delicious combo dish. When he explained it, it sounded like too much food but he kept on insisting that it wasn’t. It indeed was… we could only eat half of the food that was served. It felt that he ordered food for twice the people on the table.
Regardless, we had a great time! And the service was excellent (excluding the aforementioned)

Read moreVery nice decor, attention to detail in the decoration and Kazakh cultural items on display, good ambience, and most importantly a service with a smile. Did not make a solo traveler feel lonely! The food was tasty. I had a Funchoza starter, which was flavoursome with delicate taste of the ingredients. Then it was 2 kebab portions - lamb and lamb liver, which was succulent. The liver kebab can at times be with too much fatty covering in other places, but not here. Great choice of local food here. Overall was a very good meal at a fair price considering the location and level of service. The waiter was attentive enough to advise that I may change my chosen main dish if I was in a hurry. Will definitely...
