👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Liberation Tower is the second tallest building in Kuwait  , construction of the tower started before the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990. It was supposed to be called Kuwait Telecommunications Tower. But when the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait took place, construction work was almost halfway through, and Al-Baj was put on hold. Construction has resumed after the ouster of Saddam Hussein's forces on February 27, 1991. Upon completion of the construction of the tower in 1993, the name of the tower was changed to Liberation Tower, to symbolize the liberation of Kuwait from Iraq and opened in 1996. The cost of building the Liberation Tower in Kuwait was about 50 million Kuwaiti dinars (165 million USD). The structure of the Liberation Tower is 372 meters (1,220 feet) long, the roof of the second pod on a high tower (1,010 feet) is 308 meters. The Liberation Tower contains a revolving restaurant and observation platform (in the first disk-shaped case; it is now closed to the public for security reasons), and also includes radio and other telecommunications offices.

Liberation tower: - Used to be the tallest building in the middle East. - the government decided to make it a public government offices, called: liberation tower service center. - several ministries & banks has offices there, e.g.: ministry of commerce, ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of interior, Kuwait credit bank... Etc. - the idea is good to have several public agencies together to finalize official papers & documents. - the negative thing about this place are 2 very & highly important issues: - this place was supposed to be a touristic destination not a government place. So bad to make such a beautiful building a dead sculpture. - hundreds of people go this place on a daily basis, and no available parking. It's pure disaster, that non of the officials thought about this problem before transforming the place to public offices.

This is the 50th tallest in the world, standing at an impressive 372 meters (1220 feet). This architectural marvel serves as a symbol of Kuwait's liberation from the Iraqi invasion in 1991. Its design is truly inspiring, seamlessly blending traditional and modern elements to create a truly unique structure that captivates the imagination of all who see it. Visitors and citizens alike are enchanted by the interplay of architectural styles that make this building a true work of art. With only 7 floors at the top, it offers a magnificent view of the surrounding area. If you're planning to visit, the building is open from 7 am to 1 pm. Convenient parking is available, and for those using public transportation, there are several major bus stops nearby, providing easy access to routes across the city.
