The Hesper Park is an area of 13 hectares to take a break from the daily life.
It's located directly behind Hesper's town hall and provides several entries as well as free parking lots; you need a parking disc though and the time limits range from 30 minutes to 5 hours, so make sure to get the correct spot.
You can find several big grassy plains ideal to play, picnic or just lie on them. It has picnic tables, benches and three water fountains of which one is situated in the pond which is populated by turtles, birds, frogs, crickets and more. Other than that you may look at different works of art and memorials; some are permanent, such as the statues or the functional suspension bridge - others are temporary expositions, such as the hippopotami. Gardening and decorations are also a part of this park; former one especially in summer and latter one especially at winter.
You may view everything on several paths - open to bicycles, rollerskates etc. too - that lead past all of the mentioned things. The longest path is a walk of about 15 minutes.
At summer-time the administration organises several events including but not limited to medieval festivals, concerts, track racing, and the beach-like part is open too.
Last but not least it also is a nice place for Pokémon GO players. The place features two Gyms and ten Pokéstops, and two more of each in close proximity, and has Pokémon such as Magikarp...
