My family (2 adults + 13yo + 11yo) visited in Dec 2022. Tips and useful info below.

When to go

Weekend visitors is up to 4 times that of weekdays.

They are closed on Tuesdays!

Mornings are emptier than afternoons.

Rain comes in the afternoons.

Open at 10am (late), and close at 6pm (early), compared to Disneyland or Universal Studios.

Arrive at least 15 min early, as even with a pre-bought ticket, queue to enter the park can be 50 pax.

Parking

Outdoor carpark at Zone 1 & 2 (200m from LEGOLAND). RM10 per entry.

Rides

There are 13 rides. All can take kids above 1.07m. Major rides are:

Red Rush - Family Ride (6 pax). Long queue Wave Rider (Blue) - Scary cos high. Long queue Tidal Tube (Green) - Scary cos in darkness. Long queue Brick Blaster (Yellow-Red) - Family Slide (3 in a giant donut) = Long queue. Splash & Swirl - Need indiv donut Splash Out (Blue) - No need float Twin Chaser (Green) - 2 pax goes down 2 lanes at the same time. No need float Lego Slide Racers - Fast queue cos 6 pax goes down the lanes in one go. At back of park

Water shoes and Watches are NOT allowed on the rides! You can place them and valuables at: Lockers accessed with 1 fixed person's fingerprint. Can be locked &unlocked anytime during rental period Small (RM 20/day), big (RM 40/day). They're currently trialing Visa payment Lockers at (a) entrance big changing room building, and (b) just south of Giant Wave Pool

Free Outdoor Pigeonholes - scattered throughout the park.

Food

Not allowed to bring in outside food from outside. The (security) check is done at the wide tunnel leading from Medini Mall to the open plaza area in front of the ticket barriers.

Neither are you allowed to leave the park to get lunch at the nearby Medini Mall as ticket only allows 1 entry, 1 exit.

Eatery options within the Water Park are very limited (2) compared to Theme Park (7): Beach Grill and Brick Cafe

Their menus overlap (see attached photos for price menus):

Burgers Nasi lemak w egg only (RM 20) Nasi Lemak w chicken (RM 33) Wanton soup (RM 22) Chicken Nuggest/ Fish fingers (RM 25) Teriyaki Chicken Rice (RM 35) Jumbo Hot Dog (RM 38) 3-pc Fried Chicken (RM 39)

Set meals w drinks and multi-mains family combos (e.g. 2 Teriyaki Chicken Rice Sets + 2 Nasi Lemak Sets) offer better deals.

Expect long queues, not just for food, but also tables & chairs. Tip: bring along a picnic mat :P

Tickets

It takes one full day to play the Water Park, and 1 full day to play Legoland Theme Park, i.e. the 2-park-1-day or even 3-park-1-day (packaged with Aquarium) deals are not practically usable.

However, neither Legoland nor Klook websites offer 2-day-2-ticket deals.

So you'll likely end up buying 2 sets of 1-day ticket to the 2 attractions separately.

Don't buy from Legoland website cos the ticket dates are fixed. Buy from Klook instead cos the dates are flexible.

Klook does offer a 2-day-3 park deal which is cheaper than 3 separate 1-day tix, but S$15-17 dearer than 1-day Theme + 1-day Water. Question is whether the SEA Life Aquarium is worth $15-17 and whether you have enough time to visit it?

Compared to the other 2 major JB water parks (Austin Heights, and Desaru), Legoland Water Park is the most expensive, but is newer and better maintained (esp water quality).

Accommodation

Legoland Hotel daily rate (S$360!) is much higher than that of AirBnB apartments (S$50 - 100 @ D'Pristine Condo, Afiniti Residences Medini) just barely a futher 5 min walk away.

Regardless, one shd take photos with its lobby Lego sculptures (pirate ship, castle, life-size statues). There are also free-to-play Lego brick areas on ground floor and outside Bricks Family Restaurant. The shop on the ground floor offers the best discounts for Lego sets, even when compared to those inside the Theme Park or...

I've been to multiple waterparks in Malaysia, Thailand and Australia. I can say this Legoland is the best.they hv a high standard in terms of safety and hospitalibilty. The slides also a great fun for my girls 7 and 8 of age. They even tried the highest scare rating and had the most fun. The locker and shower is properly maintain. To those who complain abt the size i dont know how big u want it to be..is it like sunway where u hv to walk from end to the other end to enjoy the entire waterpark? No. That would be a buzzkill and tiring just by walking under the sun.lol.meanwhile Legoland is just simply perfect for the family if u hv hyper kids like mine. U wont regret paying! The only complain is the food choices. Only oily fried food. Maybe can also sell fresh fruits.

Joker-soaker - ur kids age 4 above will love this. Worth the wait for the big splash bucket.

Wave pool- the wave feels authentic to the mild beach and seems to be always running and not periodical. Also provides good view besides restaurant. Every kids mandatory to wear safety floaties for a good reason..they can relax floating and watch lego cartoon on big screen.

Build a raft- dont underestimate this..it is not like your usual lazy river. It seems kinda wild a notch but for a good family fun.kinda impossible to build a lego raft though.haha

Slide racer- good thrill for even first timer kids

Duplo- for babies and toddlers. Provided with shades.

And so many others..our 6 hrs in there wasnt enough for my 3 kids and we will come back

Worth mention..this park mostly are families and only very few teenage groups and young couples. For some reason without this group of people the queue never exceed 30 minutes even during super peak time unlike in sunway where you could wait up to up an hour...

Rating the parks separately. A difficult 4 star from me, but the waterpark is better than the dry park. Kids will definitely enjoy the visit. As a paying adult, value would come from the memories created and the time well spent with the family n kids. In honesty, it had been years since the launch of legoland, the park, facilities, equipments, toilets are visibly getting old, lots of usage wear n tear. Some of the landscapes are also dying or no longer maintained. Some visible plastic trash or disposed items among the landscapes n drains. But overall, mostly are still Ok to use. Given that legoland are one of the more expensive theme parks in Malaysia, still expected more given the price paid. Every possible spending within the park from food, memorabilia, foot shoots, rentals, shops etc are all very expensive, by Malaysian standards. Food and beverages are all extremely expensive given that there’s no public water refill machines, and we are all forced to continuously purchase food n beverages at exorbitant prices. It’s just pure money milking mechanism on everything we do in the park. The water rides are rather limited with just around 20 attractions, slides n rides are all suitable for kids above 6 or 5(if your kid is tall) went on a Sunday, with comfortable crowd count and minimal waiting time for slides. No extreme slide. Hence it’s a very children frenly park. My kids enjoyed it, and I might still come back. Do hope on better prices f&b,...
