Pontian Seaside, Johor Darul Takzim is a nice & beautiful place if you want to relax for an evening stroll with your family especially during weekend.
There are ample parking space with a scenic view of the beautiful evening sunset. If you happen to be there during the low tide, you will be able to see the vast beach that stretch over a few mile long . And when it is high tide the waves will be only a few feet from you with the afternoon or evening breeze what a relaxing mood wind blowing over your face. (Note if you want to enjoy the view bring a mat for family to lay down and relax.) If you are hungry or thirsty there are a lot of restaurant , eating outlet opposite the beach. In the afternoon you can find restaurant the serve asam pedas, nasi brayani, nasi campur, western food and few fast food outlet. Ā Ā Ā Read moreTook a day trip from Singapore and it was quite an ok place to visit. This place is only less than 2 hours drive away so it's perfect for a day trip. I can't be sure how crowded this beach usually is as I went on the weekend for Hari Raya and there weren't many people there which is exactly what I like. Like a true tourist, I was happy to check out the rocks along the coast and to my delight, I saw many mudskippers hanging on the rocks despite the waves battering them. There weren't many shops or cafes open around 12pm so we had limited choices for food but it was still ok. I'm guessing this is also partly because of the Hari Raya. Parking spaces were more than ample on that day which was nice. However, I didn't spy any public toilets but maybe I was looking at the wrong places. But that's not a deal breaker for me as there are restrooms at the fastfood restaurants nearby. I would say this is a good place if you just want to get away from the crowd but you don't want to drive too far...
