An eye opening experience for foreigners. Me as a local learnt a lot as well. Love the batik painting session the most and we are allowed to bring home our own painted batik fabric and handmade soap. Our tour guide, Aileen is very friendly and patient in explaining. Had fun tossing roti canai and teh tarik session too. Performance are good with great sound and lighting effect. Advice to bring mosquito repellent and fan along. Much mosquito attack during outdoor session. Quite dissapointed for the roti canai and teh tarik session as there is only few dough prepared for us, not everyone gets to experience it. Wayang kulit is boring. Only display of the puppet was shown without any show or storyline. Handmade soap session was also dull, not much ingredients and information received. Overall is a good experience and highly recommended for foreigners and school children to learn more about...

Feedback for The Malay Cultural Village

We visited The Malay Cultural Village as part of a camp, and it was a fantastic experience. The village provided a great opportunity for students to learn about the diverse cultures of Malaysia and discover traditional practices from the past. Activities such as batik painting, wayang kulit, and making local favorites like roti canai and teh tarik were truly educational and fun. However, one area for improvement is the souvenir store — the items sold there are quite expensive, making it challenging for students to buy keepsakes. Lowering the prices would certainly enhance the...

Great experience! So many hands on activities for kids especially group trips. Summary of the trip : Demonstrate & practical of roti canai & teh tarik making. Demonstrate & practical on batik drawings. Cultural tour (wayang kulit, foods, lifestyle, musical instrument, dances, timber making) Tour on plants in Malaysia (rubber tree, coconut tree, palm oil tree, lemongrass, bamboo, cocoa, black pepper, durian, cempedak etc)

I love the souvenir shop too. Overall, it was a great place with hands on for kids to learn...

This is a must for both locals and tourists. I went with my family which is composed of those who live in Malaysia (Johore Bahru) and the United States. I found the experience enjoyable and educational. It's a great value and good entertainment. Enjoy yourself while you're there. Take your time and truly soak in the experience.
