I visited with my children, my friend, and her children on 28.12.2022. I don’t recommend going during school holidays and I only hope that someone who is in a position to improve things will read this comment and actually give two hoots, but this is rather wishful thinking.

We stood outside for more than half an hour to buy the tickets. The heat and sun exposure gave me a migraine for the rest of the day. IMPORTANT INFO: there is no ramp entrance at the place where you queue to buy tickets. Luckily, I was with a friend so she queued while I looked for a ramp entrance at the side of the building (there are no signs so happy hunting!) to bring in my child who was in a stroller.

After getting the tickets, my friend reunites with me at the ticket counter. We then need to go to the actual entrance (the underwater tunnel). This means that from the waiting area (where strollers go in), I then need to cut across a sea of people (whilst pushing a stroller) where there is no space, especially as the queue barriers are blocking the way
. I am sorry to the kid whose feet I ran over with my stroller.

After entering, we faced even more crowds so of course it is impossible to try all the activities. It is very easy to lose your children in here during a public holiday so I would recommend putting a tracker on them or not going there at all.

The only place to get food is a cafe next to the center. The condition of the eating area is a bit unhygienic and made me lose my appetite but kids were very hungry so we had no choice.

After eating, we saw a lady bringing her son to urinate just behind the cafe in a very public lawn area.

I rate 2 stars because the activities inside are quite fun despite my bad experience. That is why I strongly feel the science center could in fact raise their ticket prices and put that revenue into improving the facilities inside and outside, with maybe a few signboards like “no peeing on our lawn” or “stroller entrance at the side”. Perhaps also invest in the manpower to help...

3 year old son wanted to see dinosaurs. So we went on a weekday. Parking was full due to it being school holidays but many school trips and big groups of children visiting. Luckily an open car park was right across the road connected by shaded bridge. I think this would be the only good thing about the whole experience. Science displays are old and in desperate need of revamp and restoration. Too few displays available for the amount of people there. Maybe consider limiting the amount of visitors at a time so it can be more beneficial for the visitors time? Dinosaur encounter (2nd floor) started with a side track to an "AR" room which really is a small hall with screens that show yourself and some dinosaurs superimposed walking infront of you on screen. Quite pathetic to be honest. The main room with all the dinosaurs at first looked cool when entering but it immediately felt underwhelming when the animatronic dinos looked unimpressive, although its perfect for my son as he wa sscared silly from the display and noise. The hall of the dinosaurs isnt as big as i would expect it to be. Thankfully we got there before any of the school crowds arrived. Overall i would say if you really want to bring your child for a quick look at dinos then sure go right ahead. We were there less than an hour. Better of spending time at a supermarket. Entrance fee for 3 and below is free. Adult is RM15 for the area + Rm6 for...

My recent visit to the National Science Centre was filled with interactive activities that captivated both myself and my son. Upon entering, we were greeted by a stunning large aquarium teeming with colorful fish, which left us amazed. The center boasts ample space for children to engage in play, providing a welcoming environment for families.

We were particularly excited to explore the dinosaurs exhibition, but were disappointed to learn that it had already closed. However, the range of other interactive activities more than made up for this setback.

One downside was the relatively small baby room/nursery area. During my visit, I encountered a male guard occupying the space, which was unexpected and slightly inconvenient. Additionally, other guards were frequently entering and exiting the area to access the water dispenser, detracting from the privacy and comfort of the space.

Furthermore, the absence of a café on-site was disappointing. While food trucks were available, they did not provide the level of comfort I desired for dining and relaxing with my baby.

Overall, despite these minor drawbacks, our experience at the National Science Centre was enjoyable and educational. I would recommend it to families seeking interactive learning experiences, although improvements in the nursery facilities and dining options could enhance the...

Went on a school holiday. Arrived there around 1150pm.there were many people. Stood in line for 15 minutes. Bought tickets for general admission and dinosaur explore. Wanted to buy the XR tickets but it was sold out. 800 tickets per day. If you want to try the virtual reality, you need to come early. There are many Science experiments (biology , chemistry, physics) for kids to explore and play. Suitable for children aged 10 and above. Younger kids would just play and don't understand the Science elements but it's OK still fun for them to explore. The dinosaur explore is very simple. There's a video at the start of the tour introducing some dinosaurs. Then, you go in the hall with some dinosaur animatronics. Maybe around 7 to 10? Lighting is not that bright and some flashing light so trigger warning to those with sensitive eyes. My family and I spent around 2 hours and 30 minutes exploring the building. We didn't go to the waterpark as there were already many kids playing. The butterfly house doesn't have many butterflies. Parking is difficult. The parking space small. If you're late, you will need to park at the of the road. In order to get up, there's a overhead bridge with tall stairs. If you're using a stroller, you need to carry it. Good place to spend with your family! Have fun😊👍

The ticket price is incredibly affordable, making it a great destination for students, kids, and even adults to enjoy. At the entrance, you’re greeted with a display of freshwater fishes, which is such a delightful way to start the visit. The space is divided into various sections, including science, IT, marine life, forests, and more. Each section is interactive, allowing you to try out different activities—though you may need to wait for your turn. One of the highlights is how hands-on everything is, which makes it engaging for visitors of all ages. However, I was a bit disappointed with the IT section as many exhibits were closed during my visit, so I couldn’t fully enjoy that part. Hopefully, it will be improved soon. For adults who have been out of school for a while, this place is a fantastic way to refresh your knowledge while having fun. It’s a mix of education and entertainment, perfect for a family outing or even a casual day trip. Tickets are super affordable, with adult Malaysians paying only RM6, and there’s no long queue to purchase them. If you’re interested in the science shows, be sure to check their schedule—they’re held twice daily at 11 AM and 3 PM (if I recall correctly). Overall, it’s a fun and educational experience that’s worth a visit!
