🍴Overall Experience : I’ve heard some mixed reviews about this place but my experience personally was good, its worth a try for me / a good place for office parties since they have a separate section too
💡 Tip : It can be hard to find parking by the roadside, they have their own basement parking but be careful as its not suitable for bigger cars
🚗 Location : G.03A , Republik, Jalan Medan Setia 1, Bukit Damansara (in the big white building)
⏰ Timing : 10.30am-9.30pm (10pm on Fri & Sat)

I recently visited Blonde in Bukit Damansara Heights to celebrate my friend Mavis’s birthday. I had been a fan of their food and was excited to recommend some of my favorite dishes. However, upon sitting down, I discovered that they had recently changed their menu to Italian cuisine—a surprise that set the tone for an unfortunate dining experience.
Since we were already there, we decided to give their new menu a try. Unfortunately, all three dishes we ordered were disappointing.
The first dish, “Chicken Cutlet Milanese”, had an extremely dry, crumbly coating that was hard to swallow and left us reaching for water to wash it down. Next came the Pumpkin Casoncelli (Stuffed Pasta), which arrived much later than expected and was severely undercooked—the pasta was so hard it was practically inedible. Finally, the “Risotto Pesto Pumpkin” was visually underwhelming, with its pale green colour and barely-there pesto garnish. The flavor, or lack thereof, was the real letdown; it was utterly bland and unappetizing.
At the end of the meal, when asked by the staff how the food was, I candidly said, “It was really bad.” The restaurant manager approached us to understand our feedback. After explaining the issues, he mentioned that it was the first day of their Italian menu and suggested that the chefs might not be accustomed to the new dishes yet. He offered us a 10% discount as compensation, but the explanation left me feeling frustrated.
If the kitchen isn’t ready to execute the menu to an acceptable standard, it’s simply unfair to subject diners to subpar food—especially when they’re paying for it. A transition to a new menu should be carefully planned and tested, not launched prematurely at the expense of customers’ experience.
Blonde has previously been a place I enjoyed and recommended, but this recent visit was a significant disappointment. I hope they take the necessary steps to refine their new menu and ensure a better dining experience moving forward. Until then, I won’t...
Read moreCame for an anniversary dinner. Ordered the truffle arancini, salmon ravioli, chicken milanese and water. Bill came up to rm176.30 after taxes.
Appreciate the cheese pull in the arancini but other than that, i tasted no truffle on the itty bitty balls. I barely tasted any risotto too. The 3 sauces they calit on the plate does not help the dish at all and frankly, i cant explain the taste of them other than the red one which obviously is tomato. And for rm37, i shouldve ordered the pizza as from the looks at ones at the table besides me, they look proper.
The salmon ravioli also were no better. It came drenched in a tomato sauce which tasted like literal prego. The menu described the dish as “salmon mousse ravioli with prawn, egg yolk and dill” but i swear, apart from the prego tasting sauce, i only tasted egg yolk in the ravioli. No salmon, prawn nor dill whatsoever. And the rm52 price, a daylight robbery.
Next, comes the most expensive dish i ordered, the chicken milanese (rm 59). Putting one thing out of the way, the pesto potato gnocchi they garnish on top of the chicken hits the spot. But the chicken milanese is a star of its own by being as dry as biskut cap pingpong. The italian breadcrumbs does not help as the chicken tasted exactly like a chicken chop you get at like polperro. At least at polperro you can dip the chicken in black pepper gravy to mask the dry chicken. I actually had to tapau the dish as my throat couldnt manage to fathom its dryness.
The best dish we got is the complimentary focaccia with truffle oil.
Props to the server as they’re very responsive, and helpful in taking pictures and clearing tables. The waiting time for the food is reasonable.
But , if you pride yourself in making things from stratch, dont, because it makes no difference the food still tastes low level mid.
For the price, you would expect a culinary trip to italy but what i got is just mediocre tasting food at a ridiculous price. Too afraid to come back as i could not bear being ripped off...
