A small lake that is surrounded by lush greenery. A quiet space with occasional loud quacks from resident ducks. The lake is filled with fish that seem so hungry just by looking at how they follow your every step to the covered viewing space over the waters of the lake.
Fish food is sold in small sachets at RM2 each. The feeding frenzy that occurs when the fish spot food in your hands is unbelievable. I hope no one ever falls into the lake as it may be a horror movie scene.
Back to the surroundings, there is a short path to the right of the entrance that leads you to a point close to the centre of the park. There is a small area where the land slopes to the edges of the water. This is where the ducks come and preen themselves. It's a good place to view the ducks up close.
There will be some kingfisher darting into the lake. A group of swiftlets are always seen on the highwire above the lake. Perhaps their nests are close by.
In summary, Allan's Water is a place to relax. Fish and birds are the fauna found here. Families with younger children will...
Read moreThis damn is really beautiful and breathtaking with the forest surrounding it. The place is well kept too.
The place is prefect for both children and adult. No entrance fees required.
Adult can either do fishes and ducks feeding or water paddles (RM10 for 2 adults for 15mins).
Kids can do feeding which cost RM2 per pack for the feeds. It is really enjoyable to do the feeding, come and experience it urself. The ducks are really cute and the fishes in the dam is really huge. Light snacks and drinks are available at the only counter there.
You may hang around for awhile or stay longer sitting at the benches looking at the beautiful scenery.
You may take a very short stroll to the old flying fox station on the right too to view the other side of the dam. Super beautiful.
Flying fox is not available...

Downside: as we went over the long holidays, the place was a little crowded and outside was mayhem with cars parked on either side, causing traffic on a very...
