The best time wait for the sunset is around 5:00 p.m. Tanjung aru Beach is open, and you can walk there at will.Appreciation located on the west side of Kota Kinabalu, both locals and tourists are definitely the most popular place. Catching the Dazzling Sunset at Tanjung Aru Beach. As the sun dipped towards the horizon on Tanjung Aru Beach, its rays set the sky ablaze in stunning hues of orange, pink and purple. Locals and tourists alike paused their evening strolls to marvel at the natural spectacle unfolding above the swaying palms and sparkling South China Sea. Tanjung Aru Beach, located just southwest of Kota Kinabalu in Malaysian Borneo, is renowned as one of the world's most spectacular spots to watch the sunset. Its calm blue waters, and unobstructed western views create the perfect stage. As the sun descends, it casts a dazzling glow over the beach. We arrived early to secure a prime sunset-viewing spot, enjoying coconut water as the sky transformed minute by minute. Right on cue, the glowing orange sun melted into the sea, illuminating cotton candy clouds and silhouetting palm trees against a pastel backdrop. The magic lasted well beyond the final sliver of sun dipping below the horizon, as deep pinks and purples lingered in the sky for over an hour. Slowly, the pulsating colors faded to black, leaving us awe-struck after witnessing one of nature's most remarkable displays.

Came here again 5 years later. This time came specifically to c the sunset. Parked at a proper parking area n walked towards the beach. Surrounding area full of food places n the main attraction was the sunset. Alhamdulillah was able to see the most awesome beautiful tear dropping sunset in my 55yrs of living. It is huge, myriad of colours n majestic as it dips below the ocean horizon. The rays then bounce off the clouds n water surface causing unbelievable breath taking splendour ever..a must must must place to come during sunset.. The beach looked beautiful. Sand was clean n mesmerizing. We had lunch at the nearby food court which would close down soon due to proposed site development of this beach area. The food court outlook was very dated but all stalls were open. Dishes served was tasty n the fruit juices were yummy. Dish prices seemed slightly higher (5years ago)

Alrite.. the beach here is okay and nice.. people come because of the Sunset.. it is beautiful... Beside that, there is nightmarket here.. a lot of food and handicraft here.. pearl or shirt.. but beware.. there is some seller here sell fake pearl even when they said it is original.. you can check by urself with some light and try to scratch it, if it come out like powder it is original, if plastic come out it is fake.. and original not so shinny like the fake one.. The food here is nice and cheap.. but what the down side here is, if you want to sit here you have to pay for the seat minimum of RM15 up to RM30.. thanks god there is some shop will free chair and table..
