The Rejang Esplanade is a landscaped waterfront promenade that stretches from the express boat terminal to Kingwood Hotel. Also, it includes the Hii’s Association community park. It is funded (whether it is maintained, that remains a question) by the clan. In the evening, many will take a stroll along the promenade to see the riverfront scenery and the conspicuous swan statue, the emblem of Sibu.

To be honest, don't expect too much if you fancy to visit this place. The riverfront has nothing much to offer except the wide, muddy river and its motley procession of fishing boats, tugs, timber-laden barges and express boats.
