We ordered 3 dishes: Prawn Bitter Gourd Creamy Fish Soup Noodles Salmon + creamy spinach sauce

Prawn Bitter Gourd (RM19.90) This dish was the one that left us devastated and most disappointed. First of all, when we ordered the prawn bitter gourd, I specifically asked the young girl waitress "Does the bitter gourd prawn use black bean sauce?"

We asked twice to confirm because it's really hard to find anyone who uses black bean sauce to cook bitter gourd in Sibu. The waitress said yes each time we asked so we were very hopeful. But when the dish came out, it was just bitter gourd cooked with eggs, chicken and small prawns the size of my pinky and the dish was watery and rather tasteless. Then, when I asked the waitress again, she said yes there's black bean in it. But there was clearly no black bean in the bitter gourd, so she went to the kitchen to ask what is black bean. Only then she said "sorry kami tidak ada". Please if you're not sure about what's in the food, DO NOT ever assume and say yes we have. We were promised a dish we were hopeful for, but felt scammed because of the waitress's careless mistake of assuming and we end up having to pay for her mistake.

Creamy Fish Soup Noodles (RM27.90) The soup? It was excellent 5⭐ Serving? Huge. Enough for 4-6 people but we were only eating for two so we couldn't finish it. Should at least ask your waiters/waitresses to inform the customers if it's a huge serving or include that detail in the menu so we know what to expect. The fish? Dory fish fillet, the one you get at around RM7-10 from Doremart. We were immensely disappointed that the quality of the fish was subpar and some of it was still pink and undercooked.

Salmon + creamy spinach sauce (RM42.90) This dish was the most edible one out of the three we ordered. The salmon was okay, just lacking in acidic flavour.

Overall, they have good presentation of their food and a comfortable atmosphere, but the taste and quality? Subpar. For a total bill of RM123.65, my mother and I felt robbed and cheated because of

1. Waitress's careless judgement and lack of compensation
2. Taste and quality not up to the price standard

We hope you can take this feedback objectively and improve on food quality...

My friends and I had a nice dinner here. It was recommended by a local and we just decided to go. Service was fast and English was easily understood here. As I was staying at the hotel next door, I asked if hotel guests of Texas Inn could get a discount but was told no. I thought that a discount would be nice. We were a group of 8 and the menu catered to our palate well. The fish and chips fared less tasty in my honest opinion. The batter seemed hard. Came here for a birthday celebration. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They overheard us saying that one of the dishes was a tad bit salty. He was very kind enough to replace with another set on the house. The birthday celebration came with an LED sign for the Birthday girl / boy to take photos with
