A little gem which describes how Malta dealt with the cursed Ottoman Turks very well! Full marks for the National Trust volunteer on duty today. A couple of days before this visit we popped into Marsacloxk (spelling?) and saw St. Andrew flags flying at half-mast in tribute to a local policeman whose funeral was underway. I was told this is the flag of the town's patron saint (and nothing to do with Scotland!). So that implies the Mamo family designed their tower in such a unique way to respect that saint.
