The previous posts say that the trail to this lighthouse is closed by construction. However that is inaccurate. There is a trail that starts right after a gated resort. There is no parking at the trailhead. So you would have to park a little walk away. The all trails app will take you right to the trailhead. The start of the trail is a dirt road then about 200 feet up the road on your left is a small wood sign by a small dirt trail. It winds through the bush for a while then you get to a paved road and side walk you go on for about 300 feet. Then you get back on a rocky dirt road that switches back and forth up to the lighthouse. The trail is about a 1 mile and a half to the top. The all trails map has a little different route on the way down that goes over by the golf course. It avoids the paved road. Also as I was going up I was thinking “I wonder if there are any rattlesnakes on this trail?” Because I hate snakes. I should have brought a diaper because I almost needed it when I almost stepped on this rattlesnake tail in the edge of the trail. So just a word of caution to look up ahead and keep an eye out. It is a beautiful view at the top with a very much appreciated cool breeze. I would recommend doing this hike from 6-9 AM because it would be very very hot after that. I did the hike on May 24. Enjoy.

I hiked up to the lighthouse twice once on Sunday and once on Monday from the beach as I originated from Grand Fiesta and had to cross the construction area a little to reach the trailhead. On Monday security caught up to me as I was going back down to the beach. Seems unfair that they blocked the only path leading to the lighthouse.

Wanted to visit this lighthouse, but some business bought the property accessing this area. As I started to hike the hill, two security jeeps approached us and demanded we leave ASAP. No homes were near this area. I think Hyatt bought it and will sell vacation timeshare homes.

The lighthouse is on Hacienda Encantada residences/resort gated property. If you are not staying at the residences/resort I do not recommend parking and hiking onto the property. The resort is guarded you can see outposts from the main road. If staying on property the lighthouse is located right behind the lobby up hill next to a beautiful church and can be closely...
