The main attraction here is a car-free road and shops, as well as many various artists or or vendors selling their goods. These included several Inca Mayan themed clothing stores, as well as other t-shirt shops and vendors selling jewelry or handmade trinkets. It can get pretty crowded but seem to drop off after 5:00 or 6:00 in the evening. There are multiple food options, not an overwhelming number of restaurants but a few options. Prices could be moderate to high. There are several sculptures or statues throughout the plaza as well as a ceramic museum. Some of the statues represent historical themes others are more...

Centro tlaquepaque is pueblo magico. Here you can walk for many blocks on closed streets (pedestrian only) seeing some of the best that Mexico has to offer. You can enjoy a meal in a five star restaurant, or get street tacos. You can brouse in magnificent local shops, or buy from vendors on the corners. See live music, and local art. Enjoy a beer and tequila, or a cup of coffee. Great place even to just sit and "people watch." Like all centers in Mexico you can see the beautiful church and gazebo. The place gets busy on the weekends, and parking can be a pain, but it is a must visit if you are in the area.

The best of experiences in Guadalajara Plenty to do, walk around Calle independence, several amazing restaurants to eat at (free mariachi bands play at several restaurants during major meal times of day) or shop (although prices are tourist markup). Beautiful vibe after sunset when the lights are on and there are so many artists that come out and express their art, be it dance, music, paint, mime, etc. The central part almost always has events and the street vendors in the evening is the best experience, the beauty in the chaos of it all, is an experience one should not miss. Very safe as well
