I understand the need to conserve water in a Megacity with constant drought concerns, but this massive sculpture and fountain (which is supposed to flow around the park side), dedicated to the god of rain, by a legendary artist… is so much less impressive when sitting stagnant. It is still a very cool piece! Honestly, the pictures make it look odd, almost cartoonish, but that quality is absent in person. You can see and feel what Rivera was striving for with this piece and it is very engaging… even dry.

Very interesting works by Diego Rivera, in particular the murals inside the building depicting the Darwinian evolution of life from unicellular organisms to complex life forms. There are interesting explanations inside and outside and entry costs 30 pesos. The symbolism-loaded sculpture outside is also peculiar and a singularity in Diego Rivera's artwork.

The Fuente de Tlaloc, located in Mexico City’s Chapultepec Park, is a captivating tribute to Tlaloc, the Aztec rain god. This large fountain, designed by artist Diego Rivera, is adorned with vibrant mosaics and intricate details that depict Tlaloc and water-themed elements in Rivera’s signature style. Once part of the city's water distribution system, the fountain remains an impressive cultural and artistic landmark. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers visitors a peaceful spot to relax while admiring an extraordinary piece of Mexican art and mythology in an...

It's a nice place to pass by on any weekend although it can get crowded at some time. However I'd recommend you to spend your time here on the morning or the evening if you wanna hang around, exercise or just been close to the nature. The bad part is ppl with their dogs when they're not on their leash and sometimes ppl with their bikes that act like the...
