Letras TULUM — Attraction in Quintana Roo

So I’m only reviewing this because I was just here a few days ago to visit the actual archaeological site. So, for any foreigners interested, this area is where you enter to see that.

However there are many shops and restaurants inside of this little center where they will overcharge you. I was told by my tour guide not to go to some of them for that reason, but i didn’t listen. I went to Zona, where they served usual Mexican food plus American stuff. I order a saucer of chips and guacamole, a big lemonade i did not finish, and pretty much three bland and overcooked tacos where they used peppers and onions to fill it up. I spent $44 on that whole meal which is probably worth less than $15 in my state. So, just be careful, and avoid being shuffled into a shop or restaurant.

Outside of that experience, it was really interesting walking around to see...

Great spot near the Tulum Ruins plenty of shopping before the ruins. Great local spot for nachos, Pina Calada, and mitchelada. Don't stop to pay for the tour, drive to the parking lot and park, then walk right to the opening of the park. There is a ticket booth there for official tickets. When we pulled in a tourist company immediately pulled us over to try and sale us a tour, but we quickly realized it was not the park....then once parked another travel agency tried to convince us to purchase through him bc of long lines and temp test...we said no and once to the entrance there were no lines...

Cool spot to capture a momento of your Tulum experience. If driving, you can circle and park at the exit quickly to grab your photo instead of parking on the busy highway. We were able to stop as we were headed from Bacalar to Playa Del Carmen. There is no need to pay to park for a picture with the sign.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get an opportunity to visit the Ruins or the Mystika Art Museum (yes, there is actually many wonderful Tulum gems behind this sign). Explore all of Tulum, and it’s other cities. Enjoy!
