Ruinas Tulum parking — Attraction in Quintana Roo

This is a scam. When you turn, there are people waving you into a small parking lot which they will say is just a staff parking. And that the real parking is a 45 minute walk away. That is not true. The parking is literally visible from where they stop you, and has official parking ticket machines you have to print to enter.

These people also try to sell you various tickets for certain things. Just enter the real parking and go to the real ticket place. You have to pay to enter the National Park (415 pesos as of Feb 2025), and another 100 pesos per person to enter the...

SCAM! This is not the parking lot of the ruins. The real one is further on that road. Do not trust the people that claim to be official staff. They will try to stop you, telling you that it's the wrong way, just drive past and follow the signs. The ticket for the ruins should not cost you more than 61+95...

Horrible la experiencia. Te intentan estafar por todos los lados. En el restaurante nos tomaron 100$ diciendo que era la tasa por comer en parque natural (no hagáis caso a la gente con camiseta naranja que pone "regalo de Dios"). La cuenta fue de 480+100(que nos estafó el señor) por 3 tacos, unas enchiladas y dos coca-colas (31€!!!!) A la entrada, en la caseta del parque, hay tours que te engañan. No deberían permitirlo, están alejando al turismo. Cuidado si eres de fuera, intentan por todos los medios cobrarte y sólo hay que pagar 58 pesos por ingresar y 90 por las ruinas y en la taquilla, a nadie en mano. El parking no se puede pagar con tarjeta, aunque os digan que sí. A pesar de todo, merece la pena entrar. Pero si no es funcionario y en taquilla (son buena gente y os advertirán de los timos), no paguéis. Menudos maleantes y ladrones tienen sueltos por el parque. No volvería sólo por la gente...
