Playa Casitas is within walking distance of downtown Cozumel, making it the best option for beach lovers. This beach on the east side is almost always uncrowded and offers great snorkeling opportunities. You can also find lots of wonderful restaurants and bars on Playa Casitas, which makes it a popular spot for both tourists and locals.
Fish are a perfect addition to the family’s vacation. Swim out 50 yards from the north end of the beach and enjoy the fish-filled artificial reefs for snorkeling and scuba diving. Shore diving in Cozumel can be challenging because of the usual currents that we dive in year around. Diving from Playa las Casitas is no different, but for the adventurous diver, this shallow shore dive offers a fascinating combination of pier rubble, two unheard-of sunken ships, and healthy transplanted coral.

A beautiful quiet area away from the craziness of the cruises. No loud music, local families enjoying time off of work, and cheap restaurants near by. Nice grass leading up to the rocky shore. perfect shore for tide pooling!! past the rocky shore was more sandy and not too deep. Bring water shoes! Excelente playa, es muy bonita Lo único que le podría reprochar es que hay muchas piedras pero lo compenza con lo que hay alrededor de esta playa, esta la marina y tienen unos aviones afuera con los cuales te puedes tomar foto si gustas, al igual hay unas esculturas justo enfrente en las cuales con la luz indicada puedes tener unas increibles fotos!, ya un poquito mas adelante de puedes encontrar una Iglesia donde igual puedes tomar fotos increíbles. Si te da hambre tienes cerca un restaurant y a pocos metros igual un minisuper, ya para retirarse del lugar tienes muy cerca la opción de tomar taxis que por lo regular cobran $50. Por ultimo tienes el aeropuerto detras de la playa con lo que regularmente pasan los aviones muy cerca de la playa justo arriba de ti!, sin duda una experiencia única! Por algo tan barato. Yo recomendaria mucho esta playa por todo lo que tiene alrededor y sobre todo porque puedes tomar unas fotos increibles en este lugar, al igual es un lugar despejado puesto que puedes ver el atardecer sin ningun problema.
