A mosque having deep roots of history in Tangier. According to the inauguration memorial rock placed in the main entrance, the mosque is named in honor of the Moroccan soldiers who died in the Golan war. It is built in conformity with the Architecture of the Levant followed by a big square and green gardens in front of it. Lately there was an altar removed so they changed it to a more Moroccan style. I feel really sorry for losing the Syrian Altar. But this is life. The mosque consists of a modern day toilets for ablution and washing. Most of the services depends on donation of believers. The cooling system is not working well especially during Tarawih prayers in Ramadan. It gets too hot in the inside. So that most people prefer to pray outside of it.
