My first experience of a Moroccan town. Very colourful and full of many small shops and stalls. People seemed very friendly and there is a lot of history attached to the area. We took a horse and carriage trip, good way to orientate oneself quickly when only spending a short amount of time. Lots of bargains to be had plus local gifts and souvenirs. I bought probably my most favourite pair of trainers for 200 dirham (approx £20) Huge selections of named Sun glasses (possibly knock offs!) for about £6. Don't expect the highest level of hygiene! When having lunch I asked to use their toilet and was taken over and along the road to another restaurant where the downstairs toilet (unisex) was really yukky with no toilet paper or hand washing facilities.
