THIS IS ONE HECK OF A SCHOOL!!!! DON'T GO HERE!!! They do a nice job making it look like they a good school, but they are actually NOT!!!! The attrition rate is not good!!! They have a new curriculum now that alot of people are now struggling with tht is "organ-based curriculum", it used to be the "legacy curriculum". This new organ based has a unreasonable amount of info given to u at an incredible speed!!! People find themselves trying to self-teach alot of material at once than really learn at this school bc it stresses u thee ef OUT!!!! This school is not good for anyone's health mentally and physically and is very draining, I do not recommend anyone go here unless you want to endure agony!!! They don't regard you at all!!! After not doing well in only 1 class throughout ur whole time being here, u are already on academic probation!!, mess up on one more they send u packing!!! This causes a lot of people are in constant fear about failing and being kicked out!!!! U need to pass an exam called COMP after your basic sciences to be able to be eligible to sit for STEP 1, and for the last two times that this test has be administered only like 11 plp passed OUT OF 160. And the most recent one only about 8 plp passed. MIND YOU, U ONLY GET 2 CHANCES TO PASS THIS EXAM OR UR DISMISSED!!!! Mind you, you got to retake the whole 5th semester again and pay tht $30k AGAIN to retake the exam!!!! Not passing this exam means 2 years of ur life down the drain, in medical debt, with nothing to show for. This is school is like a green snakke in green grass!!! The admin running this school and curriculum are literally mentally, emotionally damaging LOTSSS of students and they DO NOT CARE!!! Some students are genuinely struggling and they do not even care!!! What they do is blame U, throw u in a class called lec and have you repeat the whole semester, than next time it happens throw u out!!! For the little percentage of plp making it, they usually have multiple masters, or additional degrees or training or come from other medical schools before and have a lot of experience, but other than tht they make things hard for u if u don't fit into those category!!! This is also a self taught medical school, you spend alot of time teaching yourself, than than being taught!!! AGAIN I CAN WRITE A NOVEL ON WHY U SHOULDN'T GO HERE, but if u still decide to go, i warned u!!! This school has multiple lawsuits currently and more still in the making by multiple students.. most students are not happy here to be very real with you because of what they have to go through mentally and emotionally at...
Read moreYes…the school isn't perfect. But it gives opportunities to some people who may have fallen on some hard times and/or bad luck during undergraduate shoaling. For all the schmucks who generalize that "this is where all the flunkies go" to get a medical education…grow up. Are you really going to trust a review by one of these types of people? There are good doctors from this school…and there are bad doctors from this school. There are good doctors from Harvard…there are bad doctors from Harvard. The generalization goes on and on. This is the same for anywhere one works, whether it be WalMart, a grocery store, a mechanic…there are always bad apples in the bunch. Please…enough of the 'this is where flunkies go' type comments. Do something constructive...
Read more"DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL". We strongly advise caution regarding this institution. Based on repeated experiences, many professors appear indifferent to student success, with policies and practices that seem to disadvantage students rather than support them.
Examples include: Misleading communication about exam dates and times, causing unnecessary confusion and stress.
A pattern of dropping or failing students without providing adequate academic support.
A lack of transparency in academic expectations and grading policies.
As a result, students and parents are now preparing to file a formal petition with the Ministry of Education to investigate these practices. The school must be held accountable for providing accurate information and fair treatment to...
