Bar Code — Restaurant in Île des Terres Basses

Went to bar code the last time on St Maarten and the service was poor. Went there again today on this trip and received ordinary bar food and poor service. Waited 30 minutes to get the check after the waitress took the plates after finished eating. Only after presenting a credit card they say " sorry, forgot to tell you we only accept cash". No signs posted, not communicated by staff. Had to leave to get cash to return to pay the bill. What a hassle. I will never go there go there again on future visits to the island and do not recommend it whatsoever. Don't waste your time. Only giving one start because that's the lowest...

Nice quiet restaurant with good musique. The server was wonderful and efficient! We had the rib burger and the mahi-mahi burger, both very good. They also have the best fries we have had on the island. We were happy to be able to watch American football on the screens :) Highly recommend for a casual or date night dinner. The only reason I did not give 5* is because I insisted to order sweet potato fries and they served regular fries, and when I mentioned it, they insisted it was sweet...

Barcode is a hidden gem on St Maarten. The food is absolutely fantastic. The owners take pride in their food and service. The daily specials keep things interesting.
