This beach is wonderful for its soft sand and calm clear waters...and SNORKELING! This time however just standing in the surf proved quite rough as there were large waves near the shore, that was challenging for some people as they were being knocked off their feet. We have been coming to this beach for years and have never seen waves like this. We learned to avoid crowds at this beach by never going on a weekend or a weekday when cruise ships are in port. If you are cruising, then this beach is an easy destination for your port of call. We usually rent chairs and umbrella in front of Rosie Snack Bar (locals). The food (chicken, ribs, plantains and rice)from Rosie’s is wonderful! There are several other places along the beach where chairs and umbrellas can also be rented. There are several water sport rentals located in the middle of the beach, and often the bay is used by several catamaran operators. What's amazing to me is the lack of underwater pics for this bay in other reviews so I attached some. Snorkeling can be great at both ends of the bay, along the cliffs. You may see french angle fishes, blue tang, foureye butterfly fish, porcupine fish, grunts, snappers, trunkfishs, sargent majors, spanish hogfish, parrot fishs, wrasses, bar jacks, palometa, squids, octupus, coral and cushion...

2022 November 4.5* Off the cruise docks, you'll be confronted by many taxi's that will take you to one of the many beaches in town. I'm sure they collude to raise the prices up for tourists as I can't imagine how locals pay that amount daily to get around the island. For ~$15USD per person each way, they will take you to this beach. Prices go down slightly based on number of riders. If you walk out, from the port a bit into the city area (about 30 mins walk), you can probably haggle down the price a little - but if you want to go direct and not haggle, your better off just paying the amount at the ferry docks. Managed to get round trip for ~$70USD for 4 within the city.

Once at the beach, the people charge you for the benches/umbrella. $20 for umbrella & 2 chairs. The beach itself is nice, clear, but on my day, it was a bit breezy and the waves really pounded you. It was still fun none the less.

A bit pricey to come, but the beach is nice. Water is quite clear. Sand is fairly grainy but still worth...

Five Star / world class Beach, water, location. There's a restaurant there that serves grilled seafood which was delicious. The service was incredibly friendly. There are some gentlemen that help you set up your beach chairs and the rental is about 20 to $25 per day. There are water sports right in front of you during the day which make the experience even better. It's incredibly clean. To get to mullet Bay you go down a little tiny road and fro there you cannot see the beach so you need to find parking in these little nooks off the road and just throw your vehicle in there but make sure you don't get blocked in at the end of the day. Then you walk across the little street, walk across what is said to be the golf course but looks destroyed, and then you'll start seeing the sand and the beach. It's a very big beach so I'm sure you'll have plenty of room for you and your family. We...
