Absolutely amazing! You have to visited these Museum!
Why was this Amazing, to be there:
-we got a guide, he lead my wife and me through all the rooms, in german language. This was beautiful, because it was not really normally, to get it in our language. This guy was find later after our check-in, and comes than allone to us, to explain and tell us so much incredible Storys, whatever was exhibited there.
all the Engagement and particular Love to all small and big plane parts. Absolutely incredible, what these volunteers association does, whenever all of this basically is sad.
all Members are volunteers!!! That's satisfying too!
-included for the Entranceprice is one coffee for free.
As we are done, we take a coffee and take outside a seat, between all off these volunteers. That was the finishing! We had a amazing, beautiful, talk too all of that what was happened in and after the war.
And the End of the Story? When we take a view into the next 30 years? The volunteers and me think the same! This Museum will don't exist, after the 30 years. Because all young people are don't have any contact to persons, there could tell anything about the war. Just remembering with e-books.....💭. A little bit normally, when many Generations are pased. But the lead hit it in the heart:
Leren niet te vergeten en niet vergeten te leren

This is not a huge museum like the art museums, but it is not small. With a number of rooms, there is more than enough to see. We had a guide that showed us everything, including stories. He was so incredibly passionate and so much of their stuff has a detailed story with a known background; given by people, recovered by them, sometimes in beautiful coincidences.
We spent around 3 hours in the museum, all the time with the guide, and still didn't get to see the full-size Spitfire replica they have. It was great, and hearing the stories behind all the debris, parts, pieces of insignias, clothing and much more, is very touching. This museum really keeps the memories alive in...
Read moreFantastic experience! Perhaps we should say that we saved the best place for the last leg of our vacation road trip! The place was as some reviewers called it: Hidden Gem! Similar to the planes and WWII artefacts and military equipment that the volunteers at this museum dig up, the Museum itself is a one-off! You get a personal guide to take you through the displays, explaining the significance of the things on display along with some history behind! Mr. Ruud took my wife and me around the museum so patiently and wonderfully explained the exhibits! Do not miss the restored Spitfire on display and the...
