Yesterday we went to this restaurant, and accidentally my 1-year and 6-month-old son knocked over a bottle of wine that was in the hallway, right in front of the bathrooms. I offered my help, but all they told me was that I had to pay 60 euros for the bottle without even mentioning the brand.
I agree to pay, although it's questionable. Who would think of placing a wine rack right in front of the bathrooms? It was an accident, but I would have expected the owner to charge me the cost price, but he disagreed.
