Love coming here for concerts attended tash Sultana and ocean alley toilets were kept under controll compared to electric Ave that was absolutely disgusting but also more ppl attended that gig this one was quite nice and relaxing the only thing I really didn't like was being asked to remove my dam glasses!!!! Why tf should I have to take my glasses off at a gig I got asked more than once then had to explain they are prescribed sunnies and I wear them 247 i didn't take them off I told security that wasn't happening where in the hell does it say remove yr sunnies when asked I thought that was pretty weird and fu**ed up overall food and drinks are over priced but the atmosphere was great probably won't drink or eat here again...

This well kept park has facilities for people of all ages, just relaxing and enjoying the outdoors and the spring flowers, blossom and greenery. It contains gardens, playgrounds, sports fields and courts, and is a vital, refreshing green part of this beautiful city. A great place for a walk, a picnic, to watch or play sports, or just to be with friends or family. The Avon River flows alongside and through it and the Amazing Botanical gardens and the museum and arts centre are right there. Couldn't decide between Quake City or Art Gallery then I came across the Botanical Garden entrance near the memorial following the attack at the mosque. Weather was pretty reasonable and the gardens are free. Not much at bloom but the conservatory was nice visit for Succulents & houseplants. The fern house was also nice. Venture out a bit more and there was a water garden, the river Avon and the flowers of NZ; I ventured and almost missed the Silver Fern. Beautiful trip especially since I missed the gardens in Melbourne and London's Botanical Garden is not quite in town unlike Christchurch's. Would love to come again when it's in its full...
