I love botanic gardens and have visited many. This one is excellent, with a fine collection of NZ plants as well as trees and plants from around the globe. My favorite areas are the water gardens and the greenhouses, but seeing the massive redwoods, sequoias, other evergreens, gum trees, and oaks is also amazing. The cafe is also nice!

My visit to the Christchurch Botanical Garden was truly enchanting. It was a beautiful day, and I enjoyed seeing all the vibrant spring blooms. Walking through the peaceful pathways was both relaxing and refreshing. The garden’s serene ambiance and stunning floral displays made for a perfect outing. Highly recommended for a tranquil escape! Very nice, well kept gardens, thoroughly enjoyed walking round. You feel relaxed just by looking at the colours, the displays and serenity of the whole gardens. Beautiful grounds. Plenty to walk around and see, and so many prime spots to sit and have a picnic! We spent several hours walking the paths and seeing the foliage. There are also some plant walls placed here and there which provide a cute photo opportunity for those who like that kind of thing. Very much worth a visit. 😍 Amazing place! Just a little sneak peek of what you can find. I did not want to ruin it for you guys. The Garden is beautiful, featuring a stunning variety of flowers and a relaxing Water Mount with cascading water. There's plenty of parking, making it easy to visit. The well-kept paths are perfect for a leisurely walk. It's a great spot for a picnic or just to unwind. Visiting the Botanical Garden was a truly beautiful experience. The garden was in full bloom with a dazzling array of flowers that made the entire place come alive. It’s a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, as you can comfortably explore everything in about two hours. Lots of statuary and distinctive garden areas. Would highly recommend it ! ✅

Came early on a sunny Sunday as easier to get parking. The grounds are well maintained with lots of areas and trees/flowers to explore. The visitors centre coffee shop is a good place to stop for a break. Watch out for the birds trying to get your sandwiches!

One of the most varied and interesting botanical garden I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. Rivers, parks, ponds and botanical glass houses set in a large beautiful park. A must visit to believe.
