Delivery service was so shocking and poor. I’m a person in a wheelchair, I placed an order online, had specifically made sure I did everything right. I chose delivery, and it still emailed me back saying click and collect. I rang customer service explaining what had happened and was told to pay extra for delivery over the phone so I did. The whole day I waited for delivery and still received nothing and no confirmation. I rang a second time and was told I gave no address which was not true. I spoke to the online manager which told me I would get a refund for all this trouble and she said she would call the next morning. Again nothing happened, I spoke to another person and he told me my shopping would be delivered soon, I was not offered any refund or any kind of that nature and had to ask myself for a refund, he was not willing at all to do that and only was able to get an extra item. This whole experience was disgusting, stressful and completely unprofessional. They had no concern for peoples wasted time, and especially being disabled. My first experience was shocking. I DO NOT AT ALL RECOMMEND NEW WORLD...
Read moreAs we walked through the self service lane, at approximately 11:30am, the Indian woman, staff member, looked at us but didn't acknowledge us. As soon as the customer directly behind us walked through the aisle she greeted her and very nicely too. My 15yr-old son even made comment. He said, oh she greets her and not us. We both at least just laughed it off. I've grown up with that kind of behaviour and treatment my whole life in NZ, so I'm used to it. Sad my teen now experiences it too. We are of Maori/Polynesian descent and it was noticeably obvious we were the only one's there of colour. Plus it felt like we were more being watched, like 'Police Ten 7' than treated like customer's. Shame on your staff NW Botany. Hence why I've marked you low, and yet that was from a quick visit (possibly 2 minutes) just to buy a drink. Of course, your shop is great and in beautiful Botany Mall but the...
Read moreHave you ever experienced being forcibly stopped by a manager at the self-checkout in Botany New World while buying a watermelon, even after verifying that the scanned watermelon name was correct, and then being prevented from paying until the manager confirmed the price with other staff? A staff member claiming to be the manager didn’t even know the price of a watermelon? Moreover, forcibly interrupting a customer’s payment process twice—can this be considered reasonable? The manager’s arrogant and rude attitude throughout the entire process was truly shocking. I can hardly believe this happened in New Zealand, and it was even more upsetting that it occurred with my two children...
