Maybe we visited on the wrong day... what a disappointment. I last ate here a long while ago and it was a superb dinner out - what a different experience we had on Mother's Day. I was surprised to see if was only half full inside but we were shown to our reserved table straight away, all good. We waited.... and waited..... eventually a hurried waitress took our orders. Drinks arrived. 45 minutes later our starters and kids' meals food finally arrived. The kids' fish was a mushy fail, one piece lukewarm, the other almost burnt. She ate the chips that came with it at least. My husband's seafood chowder tasted ok but we laughed at the teeny tiny pieces served up within it. Then we waited..... and waited.... and waited. Dirty plates and empty glasses piled up, eventually our mains arrived. My pizza was fine, Mum's fish was the same consistency as the kids so most of it was left. Husband had the chicken and it was drowning in pesto. More dirty plates piled up again while we waited..... (you can see where this is going...) Dessert orders taken. "Sorry, we've run out of that." We didn't fancy the other 3 options so went without. Just the kids' ice creams to come then. By this time, we were debating whether to just leave and have dessert elsewhere but they really wanted theirs.. half an hour goes by. Staff leaning on the bar chatting and laughing. I walked up to chase the ice creams and to have the table cleared please. 20 mins later, they were brought to the (piled high messy) table. It was a ridiculously small single scoop in a cone each and wrong flavours. "Sorry we ran out. This is all we have."
We left with the table still uncleared and not one check by any of the staff through the 2.5 hours we ended up being there to see how things were going or if we wanted more drinks. Jeez guys - sort it out, seriously! We had one kids meal taken off the bill and $40 as a goodwill gesture but we...
Read moreAbsolutely blown away by the outstanding service I received from Sahil at Goode Brothers in Sylvia Park. From the moment I walked through the doors, it was clear that I was in for an exceptional experience, and Sahil was the reason why.
What struck me first was his warm and welcoming demeanor. Sahil greeted me with a smile that could brighten anyone’s day, and his genuine friendliness made me feel immediately at ease. It wasn’t just surface-level politeness, either. His communication throughout my visit was thoughtful, engaging, and perfectly balanced—not too much, but just enough to make me feel valued and well taken care of.
Sahil’s attention to detail was second to none. From ensuring that the table was impeccably clean to making sure my water glass was always full, he went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. When it came to taking my order, he patiently answered my questions about the menu, made excellent recommendations, and even double-checked a specific dietary preference I mentioned, which showed how seriously he takes customer satisfaction. This level of attentiveness made me feel not just like another patron, but like a valued guest.
It’s rare to encounter someone in hospitality who not only does their job but truly elevates the experience. Sahil clearly takes pride in what he does, and it shows in every aspect of his service. His professionalism, paired with that winning smile and friendly attitude, made my time at Goode Brothers unforgettable.
I left feeling not only satisfied with my meal but genuinely uplifted by the positive energy Sahil brought to the entire experience. He’s a true asset to the team, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon—not just for the great food, but for the chance to experience service at its finest. Thank you, Sahil, for making our visit truly...
Read moreWe recently went to Goodie Brothers in Botany and had such a great time that it deserves a proper shout-out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and lively, with a nice mix of modern décor and a relaxed, casual vibe that makes you want to stay a while. We started with the margarita pizza, which came out with a beautiful golden crust that had the perfect crunch on the outside and a soft, chewy bite inside. The tomato sauce tasted fresh and vibrant, and the mozzarella was melted evenly across the base with just the right balance of cheese and herbs so it wasn’t too heavy but still full of flavor. The fettuccine pasta followed and was just as impressive, with perfectly cooked al dente noodles coated in a creamy, well-seasoned sauce that felt indulgent without being overly rich, and the portion size was generous enough to share or enjoy on its own as a main. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the tiramisu, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night — light, airy layers of sponge soaked with just enough coffee, topped with creamy mascarpone and a dusting of cocoa that tied everything together beautifully. Alongside all this, we had a few drinks that were made well and complemented the food nicely, and throughout the evening the staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care that everyone was enjoying themselves. It’s clear the team takes pride in both their food and service, which really makes a difference. Goodie Brothers feels like the kind of place where you can go for a casual catch-up with friends, a relaxed date night, or even just to treat yourself to a good meal, and leave satisfied every time. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot in Botany with great food, good drinks, and a...
