TANK Botany Town Centre - Smoothies, Raw Juices, Salads & Wraps — Restaurant in Howick

When we first walked up...they had notes and signs on the self serve ordering screens saying they were out of service for 20 mins. Then as we were about to walk away, the lady started pulling off the notes so we asked if they were doing smoothies and she said we are only doing smoothies. So we went ahead and placed an order for 3 large smoothies. We waited 20 MINUTES for our order!! The 2 ladies behind the counter moved at such a slow glacial pace, no sense of urgency to the inconvenience of customers waiting for their smoothie orders...it was painful to watch. Then much to our surprise (along with the 3 other customers who were also annoyed at this point as to what was taking soo long) when we were handed medium size and a small size cup for each large size order. We ended up with 2 lots of cupholders that had 3 medium size cups and 3 small cups. The lady who handed us the order then says they ran out of large size cups. Not sure why they just didn't advise customers that large size was not available. And since none of the smoothies were labelled...we had to then figure out which ones were which and there was no apologies for the 20 minute wait either. The smoothies did taste really good however..but this is expected considering the flavour profiles should be pretty dummy proof. And for the 20 minute wait it's the least you would expect. (Have had main courses come out faster than these smoothies!) They need to work on their overall service delivery and...

Absolutely horrible service and I do not recommend. Recently I have visited and ordered 4 tanks for me and my family, while going through my drink something very hard came into my mouth and it was a plastic piece from idk what but expecting it to be from one of those plastic scoops. As seen in photo it was a very big piece and as soon as we noticed we all stopped drinking our drinks and complained through the customer service as we got it for takeaway. Got a refund for one drink but they said they are pretty sure other drinks would have been fine so they wouldn’t refund. I don’t know how you expected the others to keep drinking their drinks after seeing a big piece come out of a drink. This could have led to a serious health issue if I just swallowed it. In one of the drinks we ordered there was a piece of white plastic. It looked like it might’ve broken off a piece of equipment or scoop or something. Very dangerous and we were lucky we didn’t swallow it. Staff aren’t particularly friendly here and are very slow. Their stations don’t look that clean either. We made a complaint but nothing was really done except giving us a refund. Wouldn’t recommend coming to this branch at all - this place needs some...
