it's really gone downhill this taiping. it use to be the only taiping in the east area when i was growing up however it's really dimly lit, the products are not very fresh at all. we went there about a month ago for some fresh fish and they didnt have any fresh fish showing just a plaque of a fish and when we asked the staff he said if u want he'll grab it out of the freezer and also cant prep it for us??? lol what's the point then why not just vacuum seal it, price it and pop it into a fridge and let me grab it myself why even display a plaque to waste customers time like this. this place has really become a disappointment unfortunately. all it has is prepackaged processed things. nothing fresh is worth...

I enjoy browsing through the aisles, delighting in the aromas around me, checking out a range of cooking pots pans, woks, ladles, cleavers, chopsticks, etc. they have a deli section & a frozen section too. The fruits & veges are fresh & well priced. Huge range of items as long as you know what you need. Many labels are in multi language so not too hard to understand what is being sold/ labelled. However, at the checkout, the cashier removed all the paper bags and set them aside. Does this mean hygiene is not a priority at this grocery store? And what happens to those paper bags?
