Harvey Norman Centre - Invercargill — Attraction in Invercargill City

I found it very difficult to attract the attention of any sales assistant despite of the rather false " welcome" received upon initial arrival at front door of shop. Overall cash sales made by my family was over $800. Sales staff dealing with our purchases were " over enthusiastic" to add unsubtle pressure to increase our spending and made "offers" that required additional expenditure on our part, before gaining any benefit....which was doubtfully of little Value to me the customer. When I declined the "offers", so did service interest of assistants. I was also unimpressed with the methods of completing the sale at the "sales counter". It was clumsy and gave the impression of one being passed to " the banker". All in all, I am in no hurry to repeat a visit......too much pressure resulting in a very "surgical"...

Usually a very good place to shop or just browse. I find a young chap named Regan an excellent salesman, not to pushy, tells you the truth, and doesn't mind if you want to have a think about it. He seems to go out of the way to be obliging. This is the Invercargill store. I've been done by someone called Noel Lemon, and had someone at that sity place try and pull a shrewdy, so it is nice to be treated with respect from a great salesman. Guess what? We have purchased many items over many years from HN Invercargill and also other branches. The team in electrical are great. Their customer service is nothing short of incredible. Alistair, Regan and Haden are too blokes and are always approachable and extremely knowledgeable. Any problems of concerns are always dealt with timely and professionally and at times exceeding our expectations. A lot of other similar businesses could learn a lot from this retailer and for certain HN Invercargill set...
