Spice Cuisine — Attraction in Kaipātiki

On 12/08 afternoon , we were in Wairau Park shopping centre and googling for an Indian restaurant in the area, located this this restaurant and picked up 2 main dishes plus a few nuns as takeway order. When we tried to eat the orders at home, was so disappointed and could not believe the quality of the food could be so terrible. A simple dish (Dal Tadka) was actually off and was stinking (must be 1-2 days old) and had to be immediately thrown away. The other dish was a lamb Rogan Josh, and had peculiar bad taste. Such food stores are disgraceful and writing this to warn general unsuspecting public, who may discover and try the the store like us, to regret and feel like being cheated afterwards.

I see other reviews, which speak positively about the food quality. Giving benefit of doubt, it may be possible that when we were visiting the real cook was away and the food was prepared by an amateur. There was a middle aged gentleman at the counter (think mentioned his name as Bhim Singh or similar) and his behaviour was alright - just the food sold was...

Worst place to be ever.....I was in that area for some meeting and in lunch time I googled some Indian takeaway n found this one closest. It was lunch time around 2:30 pm n there was no other customer it was only me in the store. I ordered paneer tikka masala n naan takeaway I took the parcel n came back home around 30 kms from that store n when I opened the food n started eating curry with naan but when my daughter tried one piece of paneer she found out it was butter chicken instead of paneer what can be worst than this. Being a vegetarian I can't even tolerate the smell of non veg when I called them the owner started giving me examples that the bread u buy from stores aren't vegetarian though n what not. I am writing this while waiting for my food. Now I wouldn't care if the food is great or horrible, it's the service that made me write this early. I ordered butter chicken, pulao and a butter naan, which the guy (maybe the owner) took decently. I decided to order one more butter naan, and the owner charged me for two extra instead of one extra. I said just one extra and he didn't understand so I tried to explain, and he tells me I do too much talking. Eventually he was able to get my order right, but that comment was inexcusable. I believe that even sub par dishes can be forgiven by good customer service, but bad service can automatically give you...
