Hisari Supermarket is one of the best Middle Eastern supermarkets on the North Shore. They stock a great range of Iranian, Turkish, and Arab goods, along with occasional Russian and Greek products. You’ll also find a few New Zealand-made items, but what really makes them stand out is their bakery—you can get fresh Turkish bread and other traditional breads straight from the oven, which I absolutely love.
They also offer a great selection of olives, nuts at very reasonable prices, and some hard-to-find Middle Eastern essentials like kebab skewers, cow and goat feta, and much more. If you’re familiar with Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine, this is definitely your go-to spot in the North Shore.
The sellers are friendly and welcoming, especially Hisari himself, who always makes the experience more enjoyable. You’ll feel comfortable browsing and discovering new flavours.
The store is well-stocked with a wide variety of items, though it’s worth keeping an eye on the expiry dates—some products may be close to or past their date, but they’re usually happy to offer a good discount if that’s the case.
Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone who loves Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food...
Read moreThis place is excellent. They will bake bread for you while you wait most mornings. The selection of dry goods is very good. You don't have to be Persian to shop here, my wife and I are New Zealanders and were made to feel very welcome. Prices are good. Products from all over the old world. Take your time and look carefully. We spent almost an hour in there the first time. Their hot bread and cheese for breakfast is really good. Go in and buy something. Support this alternate supermarket and the people working hard to...

We are supporting you as costumers and would love it if you thrive as a business but if you guys continue like this...
