Absolutely rate this if you want to learn some more about Napier and its art deco architecture. It starts with a movie about the earthquake which was really interesting. The walk and talk was really educational and taught us all a thing or two including ‘look up’ it’s amazing what we had been missing walking around here other days! Really impressed.

Interesting experience, that takes you back to the Art Deco Time. All this buildings are so different from our modern architecture, that it is amazing to feel that era in an air. All shops on your way are full of different art deco souvenirs and paintings not limited to that as well. Interesting!!! Recommend to check it out!

Devastated by the 1931 Hawkes Bay earthquake Napier was rebuilt in the contemporary Art Deco style giving the city a unique flavour and preserving some incredible examples of Art Deco architecture. We didn't go on an organised tour because the city centre is relatively small.

Interesting experience, that takes you back to the Art Deco Time. All this buildings are so different from our modern architecture, that it is amazing to feel that era in an air. All shops on your way are full of different art deco souvenirs and paintings not limited to that as well. Interesting!!! Recommend to check it out!

An informative walk around Napier’s Art Deco buildings with a knowledgeable and experienced guide. Visitors to Napier need to ‘look upwards’ as I realised during the guided walk how much I had been missing walking around the other days. A very fun and informative walk. Lots of insights and insides of some of the prettiest Art Deco buildings, such as the theatre. Would definitely recommend to join and experience the city and its gems with these knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides. Start with introduction and photos of pre-earthquake Napier, then walk itself to be finished off with the 20 min film/documentation. Had the best...
