I previously gave a rating of 5, but now I’m in a state of panic. If there were an option to give a negative rating, I would have rated -5. HCI received my courier for PCC more than a month ago, and yet there is no progress on my application. Immigration has already given me two deadlines, and unfortunately, I have been unable to submit the required PCC due to this unreasonable delay. Despite repeated attempts, I haven’t been able to reach anyone at HCI through email or phone. All I receive are generic auto-responses stating high application volumes and no real update or assistance. As immigrants, we reach out to HCI for critical immigration matters, but the way this process is handled is truly disappointing and disheartening. In this digital age, I fail to understand how things can move at such a slow pace with no transparency or accountability. Now I’m in the extremely difficult position of having to explain to my case officer that even after a month, I have not received my PCC because the responsible authorities are completely unresponsive.

Thank you to Mr. Vishal, Mr. Vivin, and Ms. Renu for attending to my passport application. The officers at the counter were courteous and helpful throughout the process. However, the online status of the application was misleading. It showed that the passport had been “delivered to the applicant,” when in fact it had only been received at the embassy. This caused unnecessary confusion and worry until I visited the embassy and clarified the status. It would be great if the online tracking system reflected the real status more accurately to avoid such misunderstandings. Overall, my application took about four weeks to process, which I consider timely given the printing in India, international delivery to New Zealand, and the internal processing at the embassy.

The new High Commission of India building is incredible. It’s worth just walking passed to see how impressive it is. They even run free Yoga classes there - I hope they will have Indian language classes one day too. The customer service inside is good, the staff are polite, and visas are issued very quickly from my experiences. If you struggle to get answers on phone or email, there’s a complaint email address you can try on their website. But first make sure you read the website thoroughly as there’s a lot of information there. Jai Hind.

My recent experience with the High Commission of India in Wellington has been nothing short of a nightmare. I had to apply for my wife's name change, and from start to finish, it was an ordeal.

Firstly, their online portal is a mess. The portal password expired, and despite numerous attempts to reset it, I couldn't regain access. What's worse is that there is absolutely no tech support to assist with these kinds of issues. It's astonishing that a governmental organization would leave its applicants stranded like this.

Secondly, the processing time for my application has exceeded all reasonable expectations. It's been more than 10 days, and I have received absolutely no update from them. To make matters worse, they are virtually impossible to contact via phone. I've tried calling numerous times, but it's like they don't even have a working phone line. I've resorted to sending emails, but alas, they seem to be equally adept at ignoring those. It's mind-boggling that an institution tasked with handling important matters like name changes can be so unresponsive and indifferent to their clients.

Overall, my experience with the High Commission of India in Wellington has been one of immense frustration and disappointment. I expected a level of professionalism and efficiency, but instead, I've encountered technical glitches, complete silence, and utter incompetence. If you have any other options or alternatives, I would strongly advise exploring them before subjecting yourself to this...

I don't understand this Miss Arrogant lady sitting in the High Commission of India what is she paid for? For telling a bunch of lies to her clients that too, too confidently. I posted my PCC on January 26, 2025 and this madam has not even put my PCC forward in the process. As it was taking long, i called High Commission and as it was expected they didn't answer it. I asked in India, but till now (February 5, 2025) PCC with this name has not come in the LIU office too. My husband then took his day off from work and went to Wellington, Miss Arrogant was busy on the call without even bothering to handle the client in front, for some reasons i think she forgot why is she sitting there. And when asked about it, she lied that has been sent on the very following day now you need to track it. When my husband came home, in the evening he got a mail regarding PCC that means these people sent my PCC today exactly after 11 days. Had my husband not been gone there, they would not have completed the process till date. These people don't bother, its the matter of someone's career. Who to trust anymore. They have so many negative reviews, what difference will it make if one more is added to them. There will be no improvement in the system by them. Just a waste of time and energy. They only want to earn money and spend their alotted time by telling lies and provide inconvenience to people. Thank you so much keep up...

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the outstanding assistance I received during the renewal of my passport, especially from Mr Vishal, Ms Renu and Mr. Vivin. I am thoroughly satisfied with the prompt and compassionate support extended to me in a time of urgent need.

I had applied for my passport renewal and submitted all the required documents to HCI Wellington. However, due to a sudden medical emergency involving my mother, I needed to travel to India urgently. Upon contacting HCI Wellington via email, I received a call within just 10 minutes. The officer, understood my situation with great empathy and requested the necessary medical proofs, which I promptly provided.

To my immense relief, HCI Wellington immediately put my application on hold and arranged for my old passport to be returned to me so I could travel without delay. After returning to New Zealand, I sent my passport back, and the team seamlessly resumed the renewal process. Now, my new passport has been processed and new passport is on its way to me via courier.

This entire experience reflects the highest level of professionalism, efficiency, and humanity. I sincerely appreciate the officer who anrranged all this and the entire HCI Wellington team for going above and beyond to assist me during a difficult time. Your support has made a significant difference, and I am truly grateful.

Thank you once...
