Front of house good communication and friendly. Good admission price. Very clean and tidy venue, impressive. Staff could benefit from some pd training in quality customer service as there was lack of and or poor understanding of this. We went for Hydroslide and Spa. And both were unpleasant experiences today. Hydroslide was not open once entering the pool area. I did see at least 4lifeguards on site. I have a leg injury and hence wanting a spa soak. I also have a 7month old baby. Who was not allowed in the "cold" hydrothermal pool. Reason being the babies thermoregulating system....nonsense talk as the pool was cold!! (Despite many hot pools and thermal pools across NZ, who do allow mums and babies to sit together in hot pools and use common sense as a parent. Also my baby's bath is so much more warmer than the spa pool) so very frustrating and disappointing. Levin aquatic Centre please educate yourself and staff about this? It should be a family friendly water centre and NZ has many hot pools that allows babies and children to be with their parent. Esp after physical injury and this could have been quality time for me and my baby. We were asked to hop out and so we sat in the child pool. Only to have half the pool closed off for swim class. Only no swim class was taken there in that lane within the hour while we were still there. And there were many children limited to one half of the child pool. Pretty disappointing. I had to ask 2 lifeguards to turn the hydroslide on. The first lifeguard suggested it can't be on due to it being a weekday? When there were plenty of children and plenty of lifeguards, 4 to be exact. I asked again another lifeguard and said you have enough staffing. Suggesting one lifeguard could stand at the slide and the staff member agreed. To have to ask was appalling. Once the slide was open ALL the children were lining up for a slide! Having much fun. The family change room was more like a steam more hot than the hydropool. It was more inappropriate for a babies "thermoregulating" then a...
Read moreWe visit this pool pretty frequently, great facilities, new reception a good improvement, location great with free parking and next to a fun park for kids. Slide is much better than at paraparaumu pools as it's free and 3 people can go down together which makes it much more fun. The only downside to this pool is I have only witnessed the young pool staff on at weekends as being mostly unfriendly, non smiling or engaging with the kids or adults when waiting for the slide etc. As customer service people they do need a bit of training in this capacity as it effects the whole...
Read moreI use this pool 3 times a week. Staff at reception are marvelous and welcoming. The new showers in the ladies room are terrible as they hurt your skin with a sharp, fine spray so are almost useless. The new hydrotherapy pool is nice to have, but is not as warm as the old ones. The hydrotherapy pool could be far more efficient if it was covered to retain the heat and i doubt it is warm enough for those with circulation issues. What a waste of taxpayers money to not cover that pool as it must cost a fortune to heat! Overall the staff do a good job and there are many...
