The best produce market I have ever been to in NZ. I've lived in Auckland and Christchurch so safe to say I thoroughly believe this is a good quality market. It is set on Newtown school grounds on the Saturday, there is paid parking directly across the road on hospital grounds. The stalls are organised, quick and clean. The produce is fresh and beats supermarket prices, I brought a very large Kale for 2$, spring onions/coriander/parsley 1.50$, pumpkin/lettuces/chili packs 3$, persimmons 3.99kg, 3$ a cucumber (if you buy 3) as an example. Be aware that the hospital carpark across the street which used to be free is now free for 20 minutes only, and you must get and display a ticket from the machine.
