Twentysix Gallery — Attraction in North Island

Exhibiting at Twentysix was a great experience. Lots of good clear wall space for exhibiting 2-dimensional works such as paintings and also clear floor space where sculptural works can be exhibited. The space has great natural light and discrete fluorescent ceiling lighting. The gallery manager, Petra Scheuber, was fantastic with communication and helping out with any logistical issues that surfaced before and during the exhibition. There is a shortage of good exhibition space in Wellington, and importantly Twentysix enabled myself and 3 other artists to exhibit our work, generate feedback, create new audiences, and sell our artwork in a very challenging time. Twentysix is a beautiful versatile gallery space with lots of lovely natural light. The glossy polished concrete floor reflects installation based work well, and is soft enough to perform on.The full front face of the gallery is windows so your work is on show 24/7 - even if the gallery is closed. During my show I had people messaging me to tell me they had seen my work at all hours of the day and night. The exposure is amazing!

Petra who runs the space is super helpful, and works with each artist to ensure their work is displayed in the best possible way. I would highly recommend submitting a proposal to show your work...

I was fortunate enough to be the first artist to exhibit at Twentysix.

The space is contemporary and beautifully light with its vast street facing windows and showcased my works perfectly for my Foraged exhibition.

I also held a Wreath Workshop on sight which ran seamlessly with the generous,relaxed and open space.
