A small place that exudes coziness and warmth, and I can't help but share my love for it. This cafe has become a go-to spot for me, especially on Sunday mornings when I crave a comforting start to the day. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably spend hours lost in a book or simply enjoying your drink. And speaking of drinks, their Chai Latte with coconut milk is an absolute delight! It's evident that the baristas here take their craft seriously, as they've managed to create a Chai Latte that perfectly matches my preferences. The chai is rich and fragant, and the balance of spices is just right. I can confidently say that it's one of the best Chai Lattes I've had in Wellington. Apart from their Chai Latte, their menu offers a decent selection of pastries and light breakfast options, perfect for a relaxed Sunday morning. The staff is friendly and attentive, which enhances the overall experience. Whether you're a solo visitor seeking solitude or meeting up with friends for a laid-back catch-up session, this place caters to all with its cozy and intimate setting. In conclusion, if you're looking for a small cafe to spend a peaceful Sunday morning, this place is an...
Read moreMy partner and I came here for brunch on his birthday and were very disappointed with the overall experience. Firstly, once we had already ordered our food and paid for it, we were THEN informed that there would be at least a 30 minute wait. We were not given a reason despite being the only customers who were in cafe, it would have been nice to know there was a wait time before paying. The food then ended up taking at least over 40 minutes to come out and it was not worth the wait. We ordered the nachos and the eggs benedict, which after the long wait time, then came out at least 15 minutes apart. The eggs benedict came out pretty much once my partner had finished his meal. The nachos were made up of microwaved beans (which we saw being microwaved) with some corn chips and a few dry bits of chicken. Very underwhelming and not worth the wait or the amount of money we paid. The eggs benedict was just two little watery poached eggs on a couple pieces of supermarket bread, it was not nice and i couldn't finish it. We left feeling robbed of our time, money and tastebuds. Would not recommend this place for its...
Read morePerfect wee cafe at the heart of Newtown. The building itself is absolutely stunning when you approach it in the morning from the hospital side, and when you walk in you are always greeting by staff who put you at ease. Green juice smoothie is becoming a bit of an opiate for me, especially for the low price. Food is a bit on the pricer side, and arbitrarily at that (huge burger can cost less then pancakes) but it's a minor pitfall to a lovely establishment. It's next to my favourite bookstore (Book Hound) and is the perfect place to cozy up to a book...
