A sheltered, family-friendly park right opposite Days Bay and its Wharf, in Eastbourne, and hugely popular in summer. It is well enclosed, so kids are safe and there are tennis courts, etc., plus a handy cafe, the Days Bay Pavilion (or Williams Park Cafe) which serves a range of food from ice-cream, fish and chips, to full-blown meals for when your family needs refueling. There is ample parking beside the duck pond (another kids' attraction) and many more along the seafront right outside WP.

If you're from Wellington and don't feel like driving try taking the ferry from Queen's Wharf; it will will take you right to the doorstep of WP. And the bus-stop is right outside with services that will take you into the city, from Central Station to Courtenay Place. Currently there is development in the immediate vicinity; will this increase the appeal of WP and its surrounds once completed? We shall see.

A neat sheltered spot for a picnic with friends the fam. We like to take our cricket set and usually find a few other kids (and old ones) will join in. Café for food options and the walk up to the lookout right above the park is just the perfect length for older preschoolers and up. Take the ferry over from Wellington City and they will let you bring your bikes over to ride along the bays down to Pencarrow...

Great area in front of the beach especially when summer time! There are football area, bbq area (but the bbq grill didn’t work when we are there), toilet area behind the cafe (not too clean but still useable), cafe is nice with various choices of food, ice cream and milkshake.

There is small pond with lot of ducks, don’t feed them bread please.

We saw tracking area, maybe someday will back to...

A great place for a family 👪 outing. Ducks, plenty of space, ice creams, restaurant, bush walks, huge pohutakawa trees and adjacent to Ferries and the beach for swimming and water sports. Everything anyone could wish fir.
