Paid a lot of money for poor quality food. How can they justify charging what other cafes charge, when other cafes in Wellington and Hutt put in so much more effort into higher quality food. $125+ for 2 adults and 2 children including 1 kids meal. Chowder was floury, fat boy burger seemed like it had a commercial pattie, cold, soggy fries, disappointing fish burger, berry muffin with hardly any berries, (and none in the actually cake, just on top). Don't like giving bad reviews but would only go again for coffee and so my kids could play outside. Also, freezing! Put more wood on the fire! We were sitting right next to it and my son had to wear my coat.

After a relaxing ferry ride from Wellington CBD to Days Bay, this was a pleasant stop off! Food tasted good, however, the fettuccine we ordered and Curly Fries were a tad too oily. Service was better and on time, waited no longer than 15mins! The atmosphere was relaxed, would have been good to have music a bit more relevant to the location and theme seen in the diner but all in all I'd give this a high 4 star. Definitely a prime location though so massive opportunity for greater growth right here! Keep your eyes peeled for Days Bay Pavilion, it'll definitely be something you'll want to visit!

Williams Park across the road from Days Bay Beach ver spacious green lawn grass to sit on have lunch there's some tree for shade wonderfully kept public toilet facilities at the rear of the pavilion a spectacular view of the beach also across the is canoes for hire you can also watch the ferry arrive from Lambton Quay or if you wanted catch the ferry to Lambton Quay for lunch and some shopping in Lambton Quay Wellington City then catch the ferry back to Williams Park.

If you like to dine and wine while watching stunning sunsets then this is the spot. DBP faces the DB Wharf and horizon where Apollo loves to ride his blazing chariot against the dying sky, charring the clouds and throwing sooty silhouettes and dancing shadows as he races by!

DBP (aka Williams Park Cafe) serves good, wood-fired pizzas which is one of their specialties and often to the tune of a band on Sundays, which is a pleasant way to end the day after a trip to the beach across the road (Days Bay) or a game of tennis, etc. within the Pavilion grounds.

For families with young kids there is a pond at the back where they can be amused with feeding the ducks. Nearby is the Butterfly Creek bush-walk entrance. Take safety precautions before attempting any hike even if this looks straightforward especially if you are an overseas visitor because it is so easy to get lost in the bush. (There are no crowds to show the way and the track is not well-marked.)

Note that the surrounding terrain is very steep with tall trees and dense scrub (air-search can't see through this) should you get lost and have to work your way down to the bays. If in doubt consult a bush ranger first.

The pavilion also serve chips and other snack foods. If the queue is too long try the cafe next to the zebra-crossing although they are also busy in summer because their ice-cream is very popular especially...

Obviously understaffed and unprepared for a hot labour day. My partner and myself were hungry and decided to go here. We ordered 2 pizzas and a milkshake. The milkshake came out and we couldn't drink it through the tiny cardboard straw which became soggy and broken, the shake was not mixed and there was a huge blob of ice-cream in it. The place was a mess, there were leftovers and plates on every table and none of them cleaned. Not a nice environment, the only waitress was rushing round frazzled. The pizzas never arrived and after an hour of waiting no one checked on us. We realised once everyone around us had their food and we didn't. The man at the counter gave a half assed excuse and no apology saying they lost our table. Then they tried to give us one of the pizzas which had clearly been sitting there the whole time and was cold!. We were not offered a discount or refund or told how long 2 fresh pizzas would be, and being so hungry and grumpy by this point we couldn't be bothered and asked for a refund. No apology from the grumpy man serving us. We ended up going to the cafe down the road with friendly and...

Visited on a Friday evening, warm welcome and staff very friendly. We ordered 2 x large pizzas and a small pizza and used our entertainment book voucher for 25% off so the small pizza was technically free. Expected a bit of a wait as there was quite a few tables occupied but the pizzas came out within 10/15 minutes and tasted absolutely lovely!! I had one with Parma ham, rocket and Parmesan and my husband had one with olives and meat on it (can’t remember the name of it!) my toddler had a Hawaiian. The pizzas were cooked to perfection and just the right amount of toppings. The ingredients tasted really fresh too. The ambience in the restaurant was really nice and plenty of space to eat outside too. Will definitely be returning to check out the rest of the menu. My toddler wanted a ice cream on the way out and the guy that served us was so calm and friendly with him. Toddler very much enjoyed his chocolate ice cream too!! Great place, keep up the...
