Papakura Museum — Attraction in Papakura

Great museum about the local history of Papakura. Great exhibition with old and new photos comparing the same streets; stories about first settlers etc. Even though the museum focuses on local history you learn a lot about New Zealand in general - the stories about first settlers, land conflicts with Māori native tribes etc. will have repeated themselves everywhere in the country. Highly recommend a visit. Easy and free parking inside the complex which includes a library, coffee shop amongst others. The staff at the museum was super friendly and welcoming...
