. (01/2018) An amazing beach in the middle of Wattle Bay Reserve. There is no direct drive-in entrance or dedicated parking. One can enter to this beach either walking straight from the entrance of Wattle Bay Reserve or while following Waikowhai Walkway which passes through this beach. This beach is quite well spread most of which is covered with shells. The views around are surreal. There is big low tide walk area looping all the easy back to Waikowhai Walkway and to the beautiful Wattle Bay Lookout. Seating and benches are provided at regular distances in different directions at this location as well as all the way from Wattle Bay Reserve entrance. Couple of viewpoints with dedicated viewing areas and seats can be found around the beach. There is dedicated but limited parking area only at Wattle Bay Reserve entrance where wheelchair parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible entrance.
