Chilli Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in Puketāpapa

Booked in from a Groupon voucher. Easy to book with them. Ordered our meal, we got the tower burger and pork ribs. The waitress said the ribs is a popular pick so we were excited. When we got our meals and they looked delicious EXCEPT the meat in the burger was bland and it didn't look as great as the picture. The pork ribs fell lovely off the bones but barely had enough sauce. I found a long piece of hair that when I pulled it out of the pork, it had some meat stuck to it. I should of told the waitress straight away about the hair but I didn't. When we went to pay the difference from the voucher she asked about how the meal was and we explained to her what I have just typed up but all she said was sorry and that she would tell the cook. I ask if she would discount at all and she said no because of the voucher. I couldn't see why she could not just exclude the price difference that we had to pay for their problems as we were only their 3rd eating customer at the time. She offered something from glass container of food that is just sitting there but we kindly declined, paid and left. We will never be returning, our friends do not sound keen on going there after...

I moved into the area just under a year ago and I was looking for a place that i can relax in, enjoy a good meal, and a cold beer while I watch my favourite sports game, Chilli Bar and Cafe catered for all of this . . . Well, very well in fact. I frequent here often when I am back in Auckland after my heavy traveling, the bar is always clean and tidy with a simplistic, stylish enough decor and great soft lighting for all occasions. The dinners I have had here (and I've had meals here often) are superb! Recently the menu changed and well it was already good, now it's great and I've enjoyed all of the different meals I have chosen. Tony Mathew your night time host is simply superb. Always greeting you with a smile, he takes the time to know your name, know your drink preference and converse with you on many topics. A great host! More recently I have dropped in to enjoy a good (like really good) coffee and a really nice breakfast. If your in the neighbourhood then I recommend you drop in, it's a hidden little gem this place and I'll be a frequent visitor for a long time to...

The waitress was quite loud when talking,not sure if it was normal for her,I asked her if my partner and I could have a particular drink,but her reply was that they didn't have the ingredients,while talking with her I saw all the ingredients behind her. I left that place with ringing ears. Sadly that used to be one of my favourite pop in places over the past 5 years,but after that service I will not be returning there anytime soon,neither will I be recommending that place to any of my clients or colleagues.
