5 stars for STAFF. 2 Stars because there’s hope.
This place is an awesome location, venue, and great staff. The owners, it seems, are letting everything down. Food is cheap and nothing like it used to be. They are an Irish bar that don’t have Guinness in stock , nor have they had supercharger in stock for weeks, out of the Pale Ale also now and hiding it with the fact that apparently LION breweries can’t keep up with the order; every other pub supplied by Lion manages so stay in stock and they are 10 times busier. The pool cues and ball table is poorly maintained. The bathrooms are a literal HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUE, hand soap watered down, before using the soap though you have to select the toilet roll from beside the hand basin and carry the GIANT toilet roll into the lavatory with you or estimate how much toilet paper you may require prior to using the bathroom, otherwise your left to drip dry or wipe with your hands being unable to wash them properly as the soap is watery foam. I am wondering if the owners are literally trying to run this place into the ground, or if they are unable to afford to continue buying more beer, and paying the toilet paper machine vendors. It is such a bummer, this place used to be BUZZING, alive and full of energy also incredibly hard to get a seat, it’s the complete opposite now. My most recent visits are showing otherwise and it’s from their lack lustre options, and poor health and safety around lavatory hygiene. The staff do give you a great experience with what they’ve got though, they will go above and beyond to try make your experience a great one regardless of the poor support they get from higher up. I mean the least they could do is a trip to Bunnings for some cheap toilet roll holders, a couple of screws and a pack of 50 toilet rolls from the...
Read moreThis place has changed drastically. Used to be our local, but haven't been here in almost a year, till today. Was SHOCKED with the size of the portions we got for the $ we paid. We literally got 5 pieces of uber small jalapeno bites with sauce for $15, nothing fancy and just looked like they were placed on the plate over a piece of lettuce. Even the chicken pop-corn were over cooked and tasted burnt, also placed over a slice of lettuce that seemed old and not fresh! Very big change from a year ago. Also found out the place is now owned by a new guy, who i am not going to name but hoping he reads this review & does something about this.
For the price we paid, DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT!!!!! Customer service could be improved as well. Won't be going back here! Sad to see such a drastic change in just a year! Overall an unpleasant...
Read moreWhat a shame to see a local looking this sad. Cold, no atmosphere and no one cares. We’ve been here a few times and it’s freezing! There is no warmth and it feels like a ghost pub. The young lady who works there obviously doesn’t want to be there. Unpleasant and not friendly at all. When I mentioned to her it’s cold and is there some heat she said it’s because the door keeps opening. How can this be when no one is going in or out! The ghost patrons must be busy opening and closings The young chap that is there makes up for her unenthusiastic attitude. It would have been a one star if not for him. Food is ok, but not really worth a visit. There are better, more fun places. I remember this place in its glory days and it really makes me sad to see it like this. Can someone please start caring and not let this local...
